Hot Oil Yoghurt Dip

Ingredients

560g FAGE Total yoghurt

½ lemon, zested

1 lemon, juiced

1 garlic clove, minced

3 scallions, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

110ml extra-virgin olive oil

Vegetables like celery, cucumber, carrots, peppers

Pita chips or baguette

 

    Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Spoon the mixture into a shallow serving bowl and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, add garlic, scallions, red pepper flakes, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat until the oil is just about to smoke. Turn off heat and add the garlic mixture.
  4. Let oil and garlic mixture sizzle for a minute or two and pour hot oil onto the yogurt mixture and serve with your favorite vegetables, pita chips, or toasted baguette.
